In response to the Steubenville, Ohio teen rape case, West Virginia U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld is launching a program to teach high school athletes not to post evidence of rape online.
It’s called “Project Future,” and his goal is to teach teens how to avoid getting in trouble with the law by using cell phones, cameras, and social media “responsibly.” Instead of teaching teens not to rape, the U.S. Attorney wants to teach them not to get caught.
This is rape culture at work: The very people who are in charge of enforcing our laws look at a cruel, brutal attack on a young girl and think, “If only the teens hadn’t posted photographic evidence online.”"
You’ve got to be kidding me. That’s just so fucked up.
This is ridiculous. I can’t even begin to understand the idea of “It’s OK kid, you did wrong but we can fix it” .. Oh? what did he do put There when it should be Their? no no he raped someone but it’s OK we’ll teach him how to cover it up so it’s like it never happened… like using editing buttons on your word processor! WTH is this really the image people want to give young males? IT IS NOT OK! IT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN FIX, ITS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO FIX! GORRAM! I teach and I seriously do not like where the world is going at times! We should be teaching young males how to be respectful and how to be chivalrous not chauvinist!! grrrrrrrrr
The first in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, is slated for publication in September 2015, and publisher Bloomsbury will release each of the subsequent titles annually, re-creating the original publishing schedule which started in London in 1997, and so successfully developed readers as they, and Harry and friends, grew older together.
Illustrator Kay has reimagined Harry for a new generation of readers, in a style that nods to Daniel Radcliffe’s portrayal of the boy wizard in the film versions of the novels, and captures the character of Harry in the books.”

A Palestinian girl’s message to Israel after Zionist forces shelled her home. Occupation 101: Voice of the Silenced Majority (2006)
Western media works really hard so we don’t see this, we don’t see this articulate little girl
because it doesn’t sit right with the “we’re bombing savages” notion.
